Cornish holiday rental specialists, Carbis Bay Holidays, have been acquired by national counterpart Sykes Cottages.
Carbis Bay Holidays are based in St Ives and have been providing luxury self-catering holidays since 2000. The family run business (founded by Alan Brindley) is a natural fit to join Sykes, who have been acquiring a range of local specialists. In retaining these brands, they can offer a local service-led position, backed by Sykes' technology.
Sykes also started as a family business and now has over 14,500 properties, which the Carbis Bay portfolio will join. Richard Brindley (MD of Carbis Bay Holidays) will remain with the Sykes business as a director. Jason Milkins and Laura Guest of Roxburgh Milkins provided legal advice to Carbis Bay Holidays.
“Roxburgh Milkins were recommended to us and we were very pleased with the help they gave. We will only go through this process once so needed to get it right!
Jason and Laura were both extremely professional and guided us not just on the legal details, but project managed the whole process, which was just what we needed. They were very friendly and responsive too”.
